Harness named to Investment News Top 40

COLLEGE STATION – Dr. Nathan Harness, director of the TD Ameritrade Financial Planning program at Texas A&M University, has been named to Investment News 40 Under 40, which recognizes the top 40 leading individuals in the financial advice industry.
The selection criteria, according to the publication, was based on individual accomplishments to date, contributions to the industry, leadership and promise.
Investment News highlights Harness’ work as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley, surviving the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in September 2001, which led him to a career change within the finance industry. After that experience, Harness decided to become a financial planning educator and went on to receive his doctoral degree at Texas Tech University.
Harness came to the Texas A&M campus in College Station after serving as an associate professor of finance at Texas A&M-Commerce. In addition to having a doctorate in personal financial planning from Texas Tech, Harness holds credentials as a Certified Financial Planner.
He previously worked as a financial advisor at American Express Advisors and has been on the faculty at the University of Georgia.
