AgriLife Extension makes two county appointment announcements

SAN ANGELO – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has announced two personnel appointments — a transfer and a new hire — effective June 1 in the agency’s West Central District.
Michaela Bradford has been hired as the agriculture and natural resources agent in Shackelford County, and Kandice Everitt will transfer from the family and community health agent position in Sterling/Coke counties to a similar post in Runnels County, according to Marty Gibbs, AgriLife Extension district administrator in San Angelo.
“Michaela and Kandice have demonstrated not only a strong working knowledge of their assignments, but also a very welcome eagerness to get started,” Gibbs said. “We are very pleased with these two appointments as both counties have strong AgriLife Extension programs in place and a solid history of success to back them.”
Bradford earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences and development with an emphasis on Extension work from Tarleton State University at Stephenville. She was most recently an agricultural science teacher for the Moran Independent School District and previously served as 4-H program coordinator in the AgriLife Extension Jones County office.
Everitt earned a bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences and dietetics from Texas Tech University at Lubbock and a master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to joining AgriLife Extension, she worked in retail sales.
