AgriLife Extension announces West Texas personnel changes
County agents named for Llano, Nolan, San Saba counties

SAN ANGELO – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has announced three new hires within the agency’s 23-county West Central District, the district’s administrator said.
Dr. Whitney Whitworth, Llano County; Staci Winders, Nolan County; and Kailey Miller, San Saba County will join their respective AgriLife Extension offices as family and community health agents.
Marty Gibbs, AgriLife Extension administrator at San Angelo, said all will start Aug. 1, but will complete the agency’s First Step orientation in another county before assuming their permanent assignments.
“We are very pleased to have these ladies join our ranks here in the West Central District,” Gibbs said. “They bring an extensive, yet varied, skill set not only to their respective counties, but to the district and agency as a whole.”
Miller earned a bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University, Stephenville, with an emphasis on agricultural services and development. She completed an AgriLife Extension internship in Eastland County and served as a YMCA camp counselor at Cedar Park.
Winders earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science and range and wildlife management from Angelo State University, San Angelo. Her prior work experience includes employment as a child care licensing inspector and as an assistant director and pre-kindergarten teacher at a children’s academy in San Angelo.
Whitworth earned a doctorate in physiology of reproduction from Texas A&M University, College Station, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in animal science from Angelo State University. Her past employment includes work as a pathology reference lab medical technician and feed company consultant. She was also a professor of animal science with the University of Arkansas at Monticello, Arkansas. She has participated and lead a host of animal science-related activities in many different areas as both a volunteer and in her past professional capacity.
