The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in McLennan County is offering a sourdough bread baking class on Sept. 17 in Waco.

The class, “Sourdough baking: From starter to loaf,” will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the AgriLife Extension office in McLennan County, 4224 Cobbs Drive. The cost is $25, and the deadline to register is Sept. 13.

This class is limited to the first 20 who register.

About the class

In addition to reviewing the nutritional benefits, the program is designed to help individuals learn the basics, including starting and maintaining their starter. Participants will receive hands-on instruction, handouts and samples to take home.
