All pecan growers in Fort Bend County are encouraged to enter their crop. Neighboring counties that do not have their own county show are also invited to participate. Exhibiting at the county level qualifies participants to compete at the regional and state levels.

Growers must include 45 pecans from one tree, and the deadline to enter is 3 p.m. on Nov. 13. Entries can be delivered to the AgriLife Extension office in Fort Bend County, 1436 Band Road, Rosenberg. More information can be found online at https://tx.ag/FBPecans.

Pecan show and harvest festival

All results from the pecan show will be exhibited at the Pecan Harvest Festival on Nov. 23. The annual event, which includes live music, a car show, a bake-off and vendors, will be held on Morton Street in downtown Richmond.
