About the webinar

Military service providers frequently see financial concerns such as high credit card balances, multiple loans and the stress associated with significant debt levels. Individuals in debt often feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start.

PowerPay, a free tool developed by Utah State University Extension, is available to service members, their families and military service providers. The tool, which does not require personal identifying information, allows users to save debt plans for future editing and manage multiple debt profiles.

Webinar participants will learn to understand the key elements of an effective debt repayment plan; explore various debt repayment strategies that can be tailored to individual circumstances; and watch a live, step-by-step tutorial on how to use PowerPay.

Presenters include Melanie Jewkes, Utah State University Extension professor, and Vincenza Vicari-Bentley, accredited financial counselor and lead coordinator for Empowering Financial Wellness program, Utah State Extension.
