AggieFest slated for March 29 in Bryan-College Station
Event offers judging clinics, contests for Texas A&M, FFA, 4-H students
The Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is hosting an AggieFest event on March 29 in Bryan-College Station.
The event is open to Texas A&M, FFA and 4-H students and will be held at various locations including the Texas A&M RELLIS campus, a 2,400-acre applied research campus in Bryan.
Individuals will be able to participate in an Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems, ATMS, Invitational sponsored by the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications.
Additionally, the Department of Animal Science and the Department of Poultry Science will host judging contests and clinics.
Judging event and clinic registration is available at https://tx.ag/judging2025. Individuals can join the waitlist for the ATMS Invitational at https://tx.ag/ATMS2025. Registration for the judging clinics closes on March 20, while the ATMS registration closes on March 21.


Department of Animal Science judging clinics and contests
The Department of Animal Science will host three judging clinics — meat, livestock and horse. Each event is $14 per person.
Spring AggieFest Horse Judging Clinic
Horse judging will take place at the Kleberg Animal and Food Sciences Center, 474 Olsen Blvd., College Station. The Texas A&M Horse Judging Team will provide an educational horse judging workshop covering the foundations on western horsemanship and ranch riding.

Livestock Judging Clinic
The Livestock Judging Clinic will be a four-hour fast-paced event at the Louis Pearce Pavillion, 555 George Bush Drive West, College Station. The clinic is for students and coaches and will focus on market animal evaluation.
Students and coaches will be split into groups, judge for approximately 5 minutes, then receive an explanation of the class placing from a Texas A&M Livestock Judging Team member. Keep/cull data and slaughter cattle stations will be available.

FFA/4-H Meat Judging Clinic
Meat judging will be held at the Rosenthal Meat Science and Technology Center, 488 Olsen Blvd., College Station.
The Texas A&M Meat Judging Team will host mini clinics that cover logic in class evaluation and provide instructions on taking notes for questions and reasons.

Department of Poultry Science event
The Department of Poultry Science and the Texas A&M Collegiate Poultry Judging Team will host the Krueger Memorial Poultry Judging Contest, named in honor of former poultry judging coach W.F. Krueger, Ph.D.
The cost is $14 and it will be held at the Texas A&M Poultry Science Research, Teaching and Extension Center, 1202 Harvey Mitchell Parkway South, College Station. Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m. with the contest starting at 9 a.m.

ATMS Invitational
The AlrAgricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems Invitational will be held at the Agriculture and Workforce Education Complex building on the RELLIS campus, 1244 7th St., Bryan.
The contest events will include:
- Electrical — Motors and controls.
- Environmental — PVC plumbing.
- Equipment: Boom sprayers.
- Team: Small gas engines and Shielded Metal Arc Welding.
The contest will use the state Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems tool list released in January.
