The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Gillespie County will host the “Grow It Cook It” series on Jan. 24, March 21 and May 2 in Fredericksburg. 

The cost is $25 for the series or $15 for an individual class. Registration is available at https://tx.ag/GrowItCookIt. Each class will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the AgriLife Extension office in Gillespie County, 38 Business Court. 

About the Grow It Cook It classes

Each class focuses on how to grow and cook a different vegetable or fruit. 

The Jan. 24 class will focus on onions; the March 21 class will cover green beans, and the May 2 class will be on melons. 

Participants will also receive recipe samples and trial plants or seeds as part of the class.
