The Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department of Horticultural Sciences will host a field day on Oct. 4 in Somerville.

The event will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Texas A&M University Horticulture Teaching, Research and Extension Center, 3199 County Road 269. Cost is $25, which includes lunch, wine and fruit tasting. Online registration is available at https://tx.ag/HORTFieldDay.

About the event

The field day will include guided tours of the greenhouse and nursery facility, field research plots, vineyard and pecan orchard. The facility features 22,000 square feet of greenhouse space and over 130 acres of research field plots.
