The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in McLennan County is hosting its fourth annual McLennan County Harvest Celebration on Sept. 26 in Crawford.

The free event from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at the Tonkawa Falls Civic Center, 8542 E. 4th St., will be presented by AgriLife Extension’s Row Crop Committee of McLennan County.

Individuals planning to attend must RSVP by Sept. 20 by calling the county office at 254-757-5180 or by emailing Nicole Kosier at [email protected]. Registration includes a steak dinner.

The celebration is an opportunity to visit with agriculture supporters as well as agriculture vendors and learn about result demonstration work completed in McLennan County.  

About the event

The keynote speaker is Larry Redmon, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension program leader, professor and associate department head, Texas A&M Department of Soil and Crop Sciences, Bryan-College Station. 

The program will include a short educational agriculture program, sponsor recognition, recognition of an outstanding volunteer and an outstanding business in support of agriculture. Attendees will also have time to visit with vendors and sponsors.
