Gardening for Wildlife slated for Aug. 11 in Texarkana
Free event provides tips to create attractive environment for birds, bees and native animals
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Bowie County Master Gardeners and Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s School of Professional Education and Community Engagement will host “Gardening for Wildlife” on Aug. 11 in Texarkana.

The free event is part of the monthly “Get into Gardening” seminar series. It will begin at 6 p.m. in Room 326 of the University Building at Texas A&M-Texarkana, 7101 University Ave.
About the program
Penny Wilkerson, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department wildlife biologist for Bowie County, will conduct the program.
Attendees will learn tips to help them create a garden environment that will attract birds, bees, butterflies and other native animals to their backyards.
