Texas communities working on long-term recovery from Hurricane Harvey will find a wide range of resources at the new Resilient Texas website developed by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in collaboration with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA.

Resilient Texas provides easy access to valuable recovery materials designed for community leaders, nonprofits and local, state, federal and tribal governments. FEMA’s Texas Recovery Office was a key partner in the development of Resilient Texas.

The Resilient Texas website can be found at https://agrilife.org/resilienttexas/.

“We want to make it easy for local officials to learn about funding opportunities and resources available through the Texas A&M University System and its partners, including FEMA,” said Monty Dozier, Ph.D., director for AgriLife Extension’s Disaster Assessment and Recovery Unit. “By spreading awareness of available programs, we can help maximize their effectiveness and bring the greatest benefit to recovering Texans.”

Resilient Texas is updated regularly with new information on grants and funding opportunities, outreach events, training by state and federal agencies, and mitigation resources for recovering communities. The website also includes resources for faith-based, historical and cultural organizations.
