The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in McLennan County will host a cooking class for families on April 16 in Waco.

The Fun with Food and Family class will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the AgriLife Extension office, 4224 Cobbs Drive.

The cost to register is $30 per child and parent or guardian. To register or for more information, contact Rachel Esquivel, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent in McLennan County, at rachel.esquivel@ag.tamu.edu or 254-757-5180. The deadline to register is April 12.

Cooking class geared toward families

The class will feature interactive demonstrations where participants can learn how to prepare healthy and tasty meals together as a family. There also will be a discussion on tips that families can use to engage everyone in cooking and preparing meals.

Participants will also have the opportunity to taste featured and other recipes following the cooking demonstration time.
