The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp will host a webinar on navigating Social Security retirement and survivor benefits on March 6.
The free webinar will be held from 10-11 a.m. OneOp is a virtual professional development platform for providers who serve military families.
Participants can register by visiting https://tx.ag/OneOpSocialSecurityRetirement. After registration, participants will receive an email with the webinar link and access instructions.

Featured speaker and topics
The speaker will be Rhonda Romero, public affairs specialist, Social Security Administration, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Rachel Brauner, AgriLife Extension program specialist, Bryan-College Station, said Romero will discuss Social Security retirement and survivor benefits and help give providers working with families and individuals the resources they need to make informed decisions.
At the end of the webinar, participants will be familiar with the various Social Security retirement benefit options and understand how survivor benefits can help offer a safety net for loved ones in times of loss.
Participants will also discover smart and strategic approaches to help maximize benefits and gain valuable tips on effective financial planning for the future, Brauner said.
