The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp will host a free webinar on navigating the Tricare Autism Care Demonstration program on July 31.

The webinar will be from 10-11 a.m. on OneOp, a virtual professional development platform geared toward providers who serve military families.

Participants can register by visiting https://tx.ag/OneOpTricare. Once registered, participants will receive an email confirmation containing the webinar link.

Autism care program coverage, eligibility among topics

Featured speaker Krystyna Bienia, Psy.D., clinical psychologist and senior policy analyst, Defense Health Agency, Falls Church, Virginia, will provide an in-depth overview of the Tricare Autism Care Demonstration program.

The program is designed to support military families with members who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, said Rachel Brauner, AgriLife Extension program specialist and lifespan caregiving co-principal investigator for OneOp.

The webinar will provide information on how to enroll in the program, how to meet eligibility criteria and types of treatment the program will cover. Participants will also receive practical advice on navigating the system effectively, learn about recent program updates and how the changes can help improve access, and quality of care for beneficiaries.
