‘TRICARE ECHO Demystified’ webinar scheduled for April 2
Free webinar provides military support professionals explanation of Extended Health Care Option
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp will host the webinar, “TRICARE ECHO Demystified: Eligibility, Enrollment and Effective Support Strategies,” on April 2.

The free webinar will be from 10-11 a.m. on OneOp, a virtual professional development platform for providers who serve military families.
Participants can register by visiting https://tx.ag/TricareEcho. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing the webinar link.
About the webinar
The professional development webinar is designed to provide military support professionals with an understanding of the TRICARE Extended Care Health Option, ECHO.
The ECHO program supports individuals diagnosed with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities, serious physical disabilities, or extraordinary physical or psychological conditions.
Attendees will gain insights into the eligibility requirements, covered services and the enrollment process, equipping them to effectively guide families in accessing and utilizing these benefits.
Additionally, the session will explore best practices for collaboration with TRICARE case managers to ensure a seamless support experience for military families.
Webinar presenter
The webinar will be led by Carmen DeLeon, RN, director for case management/special needs programs with the Defense Health Agency. DeLeon serves as the liaison between the Military Treatment Facilities, Intermediate Service Commands, Uniformed Services Headquarters Commands, Veteran Administration, TRICARE eligible beneficiaries, the Managed Care Support Contractors and the Uniformed Services Family Health Plan.
