The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in McLennan County and McLennan Community College will host a Cooking with Cultures — Interior Mexico class on Jan. 7 in Waco.

The class will be held at the AgriLife Extension office in McLennan County, 4224 Cobbs Drive, from 5-7:30 p.m. The cost is $25, and online registration is available at https://tx.ag/CulturesCooking.

Registration is also available by calling the McLennan Community College Continuing Education office at 254-299-8888. Deadline to register is Jan. 5

About the course

The course will be taught by Rachel Esquivel, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent for McLennan County.

It is designed to educate participants on nutrition, food safety and healthy cooking techniques via interest in cultural cuisines. The course also aims to expand ingredients and techniques familiar to participants to increase confidence when cooking diverse recipes.
