The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be hosting an estate planning seminar on Jan. 12 in Corsicana.

The event will be held from 9 a.m.-noon in the large Fannie Mae Vernon room of the Navarro County Expo Center, 401 W. State Highway 22. Registration cost is $30 per person or $40 per couple.

The seminar will help people understand the legal requirements of estate planning and the importance of writing a will or planning a trust to help secure their financial future for their families.

The featured speaker will be Jason Johnson, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension economist and professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Stephenville.

Johnson will cover the following topics:

  • What happens without a will.
  • Documents you should consider.
  • Setting up a trust.
