Feb. 7 OneOp webinar focuses on Social Security disability benefits
Event discusses navigating complexities of disability insurance and supplemental security income
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp will be holding a webinar Feb. 7 on Social Security and disability benefits.
The free event will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. OneOp is a virtual professional development platform for providers who serve military families. Participants can register by visiting https://tx.ag/OneOpSocialSecurityDisability.

The featured speaker will be Rhonda Romero, public affairs specialist, Social Security Administration, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Rachel Brauner, AgriLife Extension program specialist, Bryan-College Station, said the webinar will discuss two Social Security Administration programs that help aid those contending with disabilities, including Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income.
Participants will learn about the resources needed to understand and navigate the complexities of each program and any changes in program requirements taking effect in 2024. They will also learn how to recognize non-medical requirements and identify the basic income and resources each program requires.
