The conference is a joint effort between the AgriLife Extension offices in Harrison, Gregg, Upshur and Marion counties. The event is geared toward landowners and forest managers wanting to learn about the Texas Climate Smart Initiative and how to adopt the initiative’s best practices.

“We wanted to host this conference to allow our landowners to learn about this great opportunity to help improve their land for the future,” said Matt Garrett, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent, Harrison County. “I think this is a great opportunity for everyone, and our speaker has a tremendous amount of knowledge to share with our landowners.”
