The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in McLennan County and McLennan Community College are hosting a Fun with Food and Family cooking class on Nov. 16 in Waco.

The class will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. at the AgriLife Extension office in McLennan County, 4224 Cobbs Drive. The cost is $30 per pair, and online registration is available at https://tx.ag/FunWithFood. Deadline to register is Nov. 14.

About the class

The class will be led by Rachel Esquivel, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent for McLennan County. 

The family cooking class is for all aspiring kid chefs and their parents and families. The workshop is a great opportunity to share time together making tasty, healthy meals as a pair.

Participants will be able to use the cooking techniques they learn to prepare healthy and fun meals with their families. They will also learn the importance of making mealtimes a family affair to promote healthy eating patterns and dietary choices.
