About the webinar

Medicare provides health coverage for adults over age 65 and individuals with qualifying medical conditions. Though it is a household name, many people struggle to understand the program and its benefits.

During this session, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of Medicare basics, including its history and the key differences between Medicare and Medicaid.

Participants will learn about the enrollment process and timing to ensure they are properly covered. The session will also cover the various benefits available under Medicare’s different parts, helping participants maximize their healthcare coverage.

Additionally, there will be a focus on coordinating care between Medicare and other programs such as Tricare for Life and Veterans Affairs benefits, ensuring seamless integration and optimized care for all eligible participants.

Andrew Crocker, AgriLife Extension senior program specialist, gerontology and health, Family and Community Health, Amarillo will lead the webinar.
