The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp will host a webinar, “Unified Support for Military-Connected Teen Well-Being: A Panel Discussion,” on Aug. 13 from 10-11:30 a.m.

The free event is part of the Military Family Readiness Academy and will take place on OneOp, a virtual professional development platform designed for providers serving military families.

About the webinar

The 90-minute panel discussion will explore how service providers across the Military Family Readiness System can support the well-being and positive development of military-connected youth, as well as resources available. 

The conversation will focus on adolescents ages 12-18 in active-duty military families. 

The members of the panel will include:

  • Mallory Lucier-Greer, Ph.D., professor and director, Military REACH, Auburn University. 
  • Brent Edwards, youth program coordinator of Navy Child and Youth Programs, Commander of Naval Installations Command. 
  • Gregory Leskin, Ph.D., director for Military and Veteran Families Program, National Center for Child Traumatic Stress.
  • Casey Mull, Ph.D., associate director, program lead, 4-H youth development, clinical associate professor in Agricultural Sciences Education and Communication, Purdue University.
  • Sabrina Richardson, Ph.D., researcher, Naval Health Research Center, The Millennium Cohort Study of Adolescent Resilience. 

This webinar is part of the Military Family Readiness Academy, a comprehensive series designed to support service providers working with military families. The 2025 academy will address the critical issues of adolescent well-being. Other webinar dates in the series include Aug. 27, Sept. 10 and Sept. 24.
