The free webinar will be from 10-11 a.m. on OneOp, a virtual professional development platform for providers who serve military families. 

Participants can register by visiting https://tx.ag/TACD. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing the webinar link. 

About the webinar

The webinar is a comprehensive professional development session designed to equip military service providers with the tools and knowledge needed to support caregivers of individuals with autism. 

It will explore the TRICARE Autism Care Demonstration, ACD, offering valuable insight into its scope, services and benefits for military families. Participants will gain an understanding of the program’s purpose and learn about the evidence-based treatments available, as well as the critical role providers play in delivering care. 

The webinar will be led by Krystyna Bienia, a clinical psychologist and a senior policy analyst for the Defense Health Agency

Learning objectives

  • Understand the purpose and benefits of the TRICARE ACD, including the services available to eligible beneficiaries.
  • Examine evidence-based treatments covered under the program and the critical role of providers in care delivery. 
  • Review the latest changes to the ACD and their impact on military families, ensuring guidance is current and effective. 
  • Learn strategies for optimizing access to ACD services and maximizing program benefits for families in your care. 
  • Gain clarity on the referral process and specialty care services as TRICARE transitions to new contracts in 2025.
