BRACKETTVILLE – The Texas AgriLife Extension Service office in Kinney County will conduct a Quail Management Workshop from 8 a.m. until noon May 5 at the Civic Center 200 East Spring St. in Brackettville.
“This workshop is meant to update area ranchers and landowners on different topics dealing with quail management,” said Tyler Bobinmyer, AgriLife Extension agent in Kinney County. “Taking advantage of your property’s resources is important for many to survive, and quail management is just another avenue for ranchers and landowners to improve their revenue.”
Two Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available — one general and one integrated pest management.
Featured speakers will be Dr. James Gallagher, AgriLife Extension wildlife specialist at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Uvalde, David Rios, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department biologist at Uvalde, and Tim Milligan, Plateau Land and Wildlife Management at Dripping Springs.
Individual registration is $10 and payable at the door.
RSVP to the AgriLife Extension office in Kinney County by May 3 at 830-563-2442.
