“Meagen has been a 4-H and a Better Living for Texans program assistant in Tom Green County since 2010, so we are excited to have someone with experience in delivering AgriLife Extension programs in Karnes County,” Montemayor said. “She has a solid background in teaching family and consumer sciences and in 4-H programs. She brings a great deal of enthusiasm and knowledge to her new position.”

Mohr grew up in Karnes County, where she was active in the 4-H program. She attended Angelo State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in social work.

As the Karnes County family and consumer sciences agent, Mohr’s role will be to provide practical information and instruction to families on such topics as housing and environment, eating well, managing money and staying healthy. She also will support 4-H youth food and nutrition project activities, according to Montemayor.
