Tittle named AgriLife Extension agent for Brazos County

COLLEGE STATION — Dusty Tittle has been named the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent for agriculture and natural resources in Brazos County, according to district AgriLife Extension administrator Dr. Dale A. Fritz and the Brazos County Commissioners Court.

His appointment is effective Nov. 4.

“Dusty is looking forward to working with the agriculture and natural resources programs in Brazos County,” said Fritz.

Tittle earned a bachelor’s in agricultural economics and a master’s in agronomy, both from Texas A&M University.

           For the past 11 years, Tittle has served as AgriLife Extension agent in Burleson County. His responsibility included serving as county coordinator and leader of the agriculture program for which he implemented educational programs in beef cattle and forage production, grain and cotton production, horticulture, wildlife and natural resources management, and community development.

Tittle also worked with the Leadership Advisory Board, three program-area committees, area agribusinesses, the county fair association and the Burleson County Chamber of Commerce in creating greater awareness of agriculture. He also assisted in the management and implementation of the county 4-H program.

           Previously, Tittle served as AgriLife Extension agent in Milam and Falls counties.

           Tittle has been a member of  the AgriLife Extension District 9 Marketing and Interpretation Committee, 4-H Program Development Committee, and Awards and Recognition Committee. He also serves as an adviser to the Brazos Area Hay Producers Association, is a member of the Southern Classic Prospect Show Planning Committee and has been president of the Texas County Agricultural Agents Association.
