AgriLife Extension program Dec. 3 in San Antonio to focus on floral arrangements

SAN ANTONIO – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will present the “Floral Arrangements for the Holiday Season” program, part of the Backyard Basics series, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in San Antonio, said an agency horticulturist.

The program will be in Suite 208 of the AgriLife Extension office for Bexar County, located in the Conroy Square office complex, 3355 Cherry Ridge Drive in San Antonio.

The program will be presented by local florist Jim Bliek, said David Rodriguez, AgriLife Extension agent for horticulture in Bexar County.

“The program will address basic floral arrangement tips for the holiday season and attendees will participate in fun hands-on activities in creating their own take-home decoration,” Rodriguez said.

Two continuing education units will be available to Bexar County Master Gardeners or Master Gardener interns who attend, he said.

The cost is $45, but attendees are requested to register soon, as the class size is limited to 20.   Register online at https://agriliferegister.tamu.edu/BackyardBasics.
