PITTSBURG — The East Texas Grape and Wine Producers Field Day will be Jan. 29 at the Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards, 658 County Road 1334, Pittsburg, Texas.
The event will be from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and includes lunch in the $35 registration fee, according to Dr. Justin Scheiner, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service viticulturist in College Station. Participants must RSVP by Jan. 24 to Scheiner at 979-845-1870 or jscheiner@tamu.edu.
Scheiner and Michael Cook, AgriLife Extension viticulturist for North Texas, will present topics aimed at helping vineyard owners and winemakers achieve better results.
Topics include fungal disease control and how to prepare for the season, developing a vineyard plan, pruning considerations, growers panel and a pruning demonstration.
