Pond, aquatic vegetation management program slated for July 21 in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK – A Pond and Aquatic Vegetation Management program will be presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service July 21 at the J.B. and Hallie Jester Building,

1801 Old Settlers Blvd., Round Rock.

The program will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration to begin at 9:30 a.m. The presenter will be Dr. Todd Sink, AgriLife Extension fisheries specialist, College Station.

Topics will include pond ecology, fish stocking, nuisance and undesirable species, fisheries management strategies, aquatic plant ecology, invasive species, plant species identification, effective control options, biological considerations and laws and regulations.

The cost is $25 and lunch is included.

Four Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units – one general, two integrated pest management and one laws and regulations – will be offered.
