GEORGETOWN — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will present the Wilco Forage and Brush Management Workshop Aug. 29 in Georgetown.
Registration will be from 8:30-9 a.m. with the workshop from 9 a.m. to noon at the AgriLife Extension office, 3151 Southeast Inner Loop.
The cost is $15 per person, and donuts and refreshments are included.
“Forage and brush management are very important aspects of land management and those attending the workshop will learn some of the most effective management techniques from these AgriLife Extension experts,” said Jared Alewine, AgriLife Extension natural resources agent, Williamson County.
Workshop topics and presenters will be:
— Management of yaupon, mesquite, cedar and huisache, James Jackson, AgriLife Extension range specialist, Stephenville.
— Range forage selection, establishment and management, Dr. Vanessa Corriher-Olson, AgriLife Extension forage specialist, Overton.
Attendees should RSVP by 4 p.m. Aug. 24 and may register at https://williamson.agrilife.org/ under the “Program Registration” tab. Payment can be made the day of the program using cash or check. Make checks payable to Williamson Demo Fund.
Two Texas Department of Agriculture general continuing education units will be offered to commercial and non-commercial license holders.
