The event is free, but participants are encouraged to register in advance to participate in the webinar. Those who prefer to listen by phone without video may call 346-248-7799 on the day of the event and enter meeting ID: 965 0423 6544.

“While we won’t be touring an actual piece of land this year, this will be a  great opportunity to hear experts speak on topics that we get a lot of questions about over the course of the year,” said Tom Guthrie, AgriLife Extension agent for Mills County.

Topics and speakers include:

  • Planting Native Seed – Megan Clayton, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension range specialist, Corpus Christi.
  • Texas Native Seeds Program: Native Seed Mix Selection Tool – Forrest S. Smith, Dan L Duncan Endowed Director of Texas Native Seeds, Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute, Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

“We are looking forward to being able to provide producers with the latest information and encourage everyone to join us whether you’re a past participant or this will be your first time doing a range tour,” said Heath Lusty, AgriLife Extension agent for Lampasas County.

For further information or questions, contact Guthrie at 325-648-2650 or Lusty at 512-556-8271.
