The Williamson County Master Gardeners will hold an event Feb. 14 from 7-8 p.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office at 100 Wilco Way, Room 226, Georgetown.

The free program will cover the recent vegetable trials at the Williamson County AgriLife Demonstration Garden.
Master Gardeners Dale Hill, Judy Williams and Jim Williams are the featured speakers. In addition to the trials, they will discuss marigolds, parsnips and potatoes, and share tips and advice.
Demonstration garden
“Our demonstration garden is a year-round classroom,” said Kate Whitney, AgriLife Extension horticulturist for Williamson County. “We encourage residents to come walk around throughout the year to see what is growing well during different seasons and what might look good in their own landscapes.
“The Master Gardeners plant a wide variety of fruits, flowers and vegetables in our garden and then share those results and insights with their fellow gardeners and the general public at their monthly meetings and special events,” she said.
