The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will present the Pond Management Workshop and Fish Fry on June 9 in Aubrey.
The free event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Rancho De La Roca Retreat Ranch, 2459 W. Blackjack Road.
Advance registration with Colleen Curtis at the AgriLife Extension office in Denton County at 940-349-2894 is requested for an accurate head count for the catered meal.
The fish fry dinner is sponsored by Lone Star Ag Credit. Other workshop sponsors include JD Naturescapes.
One Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education unit in integrated pest management will be offered at no cost.
“We are looking forward to our pond management program,” said Zach Davis, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent for Denton County. “We have a lot of small acreage landowners and most of them have a pond of their own that they want to utilize. This program will help homeowners learn how to manage their pond correctly and efficiently.”
