The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in cooperation with McLennan Community College Continuing Education will hold an Instant Pot Cooking class on April 18.
The class will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the AgriLife Extension office in McLennan County, 4224 Cobbs Drive, Waco.
The cost is $39, and space is limited to just 15 participants. Participants must preregister at https://tx.ag/April18InstaPot or by calling 254-299-8888. Registration closes at 5 p.m. April 17, unless the course fills sooner.
“This course will help you put your electric pressure cooker to good use,” said Colleen Foleen, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent for McLennan County and course instructor. “This will help you make the most out of your investment while preparing a variety of tasty recipes in less time without tying up you, your oven or your stovetop.”
For class questions, contact Foleen at Colleen.Foleen@ag.tamu.edu or 254-757-5180.
Save time, energy
“The course is designed to teach participants more about the kitchen appliance that has surged in popularity over the last several years,” said Foleen. “An estimated one in three American homes now have an instant pot or similar type pressure cooker.”
An electric pressure cooker is also called a multi-cooker because it can function as a crockpot, providing a slow cook, as well as the ability to sauté.
Those attending the course will:
- Receive recipes.
- Learn electric pressure cooker techniques.
- Understand how to maximize the convenience of the appliance.
