The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Williamson County will be hosting the Fruit Growers Forum on Sept. 20 in Taylor.

The event will be held from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Dickey-Givens Community Center, 260 S. Dolan. Cost for the program will be $25, and preregistration is required. Participants can register at https://tx.ag/FruitGrowersForum23. Lunch will be included.
The forum will be geared toward both commercial fruit growers and hobby gardeners who are interested in growing fruit in their gardens.

- Pests and problems with peaches — Jim Kamas, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension horticulturist and associate professor, Texas A&M Department of Horticultural Sciences, Fredericksburg.
- Introduction to grapes — Kamas.
- Post-harvest handling — Kamas.
- Recommended fruit for Central Texas — Kate Hajda, AgriLife Extension horticulturist for Williamson County, Georgetown.
- Irrigation set-up for Fruit — Hajda.
- Strawberries: What’s new for 2023 — Russ Wallace, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension vegetable specialist and professor, Texas A&M Department of Horticultural Sciences, Lubbock.
