MULESHOE – The annual Llano Estacado Cotton Conference, conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service office in Bailey County, is set for 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in the Bailey County Coliseum, 2206 W. American Blvd. in Muleshoe.
Five Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered.
“As the name implies, the conference will specifically target cotton production and marketing on the northwest plains of Texas and Eastern New Mexico,” said Curtis Preston, AgriLife Extension agent in Bailey County.
Preston said the topics covered would include a number of agronomic, pest management, marketing and risk management topics along with results from research conducted in 2010.
Individual registration is $15 at the door. The fee will include lunch.
