A Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service professional conference focused on early childhood will be held Sept. 18 at the Adam Street Community Center at 511 E. Adams St. in Brownwood. The Childhood Champions Child Care Conference is open to child care providers, directors, and other early childhood educators.
The event is presented by the AgriLife Extension family and community health agents of Brown, McCulloch, San Saba and Llano counties. It will run from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and there will be six clock hours of annual training. There also will be refreshments and door prizes.
Registration is $25 and due by Sept. 13 to https://tx.ag/ChildhoodChampions. An additional fee of $10 will be charged for late registrations.
“We are inviting all early childhood professionals to join us for an event that will be both educational and fun,” said Courtney Parrott, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent, Brown County.

- The ABCs of American Sign Language in Early Childhood.
- Food Safety in the Classroom.
- Physical Activity.
- Toxic Stress in Early Childhood.
- Child Development.
